Citing "crimes against humanity" in jurisprudence legalizes humanity! By inference, any human claiming world citizenship legalizes him/herself contractually with the legal humanity.

Appeal

Humanity faces many challenging problems throughout the world today, including the misery and conflicts caused by continuing inequity and poverty, the disparity between rich and poor, the collapse of communities and forced migration, the demographic explosion, the oppression of women, cultural and religious conflict, global warming, the pollution of the natural environment, the massive extinction of animals and plants, the waste and exhaustion of non-renewable resources, the multiplication of acts of violence, terrorism, and war, and the risks of spreading weapons of mass destruction.

It is long past time that we must come together, as one human family, to support one another and to deal responsibly with our common problems. Humanity today has come to a turning point in history; we need to create a new democratic world order which can bring in an era of peace, global justice and sustainability of the natural world.

Thus we, a group of individuals and organizations that has been actively working for world democracy for many years now, have launched THE WAVE and invite you to join it.

THE WAVE proposes to develop an ongoing campaign on democratic global governance, as a method of cooperation among like minded organizations and individuals. The Wave social network will create periodic statements on global democracy subjects, to be spread virally. THE WAVE mailing list will receive statements. If list members agree with the statement, they will sign on and encourage others to do the same. We aim to ultimately reach those with the power to make political decisions, political leaders and representatives at all levels of democratic governance.

Simple and easy.

The signatories share a vision of world citizenship, human legitimacy, political equality and democratic global governance. However we represent different views of how this can best be achieved, or how global governance should look like. We encourage you to visit the signatories' websites and become aware of their proposals and arguments.
